Listed by genre in no particular order. Three of the four genres — Contemporary Romance, Young Adult and Historic Fiction — all have queer women main characters (i.e., WLW or lesfic). Book links connect to Amazon but these books can be found in most online bookstores. While many of these books were released in 2020, some were published in earlier years.

Contemporary Romance

Haley Cass, Clare Ashton, Monica McCallan, Olivia Lark, Tina Kakadelis, Victoria Holmes

An Amazing Debut: Haley Cass’ debut books all knocked it out of the romance park. Those Who Wait is an opposites-attract slow burn (in the relationship sense as opposed to the sexual sense) that pairs Sutton, a newly out young woman without a clue about what to do with her life except look for love, and Charlotte, an up and coming politician whose life is all planned out and depends on staying in the closet with regular hookups. Forever and A Day is the sequel (rare in romance that a sequel could be this good) written as a series of stories and social media posts. When You Least Expect It is the ultimate slow burn, best friends to lovers romance of Caroline, a Boston divorce attorney and out lesbian, and Hannah, who hires Caroline to represent her in the divorce from her cheating husband (who happens to be Caroline’s former work nemesis). All of these books have well-drawn, engaging characters who linger in your mind after you turn the last page.
